Our commitment to social responsibility.

THE ENVIRONMENT

At rewthink we only use timber from managed forests, where a seedling is planted for every felled tree. This is done in consideration for the biodiversity and wildlife in its delicate ecosystem and ensures that the wood we use is carbon neutral.

Our timber products are finished with a plant-based wax oil with a low VOC content, made from renewable vegetable oils.

Many of our designs use a sustainable paper composite made from FSC-certified recycled paper and natural resin that emits no VOCs.

We have a zero-waste policy in the workshop. Our off-cuts are sent to our local Men’s Shed, supporting their work in building connections, creativity and community.

We also donate any surplus hardware and tools.

In the past we have given nicer off-cuts to local weavers and other craft projects.

Any remaining waste timber is cut to 20cm lengths and used as firewood.
